About the Event
What is a body-led drum circle?
Instead of playing with our minds and following along with the same rhythm that everyone is playing - we will play from the heart instead.
We begin with a short guided meditation to connect with our bodies - giving voice and breath to the parts that we maybe haven’t acknowledged in a while.
Then we meet our drums. We meet our drums with our eyes, our ears, our hands. We get to know them and start to get curious about what it might feel like to make noise with them.
From this place of curiosity, you’ll be encouraged to explore this new voice-giving friend and see what comes forth. No pressure and no expectations - just curiosity. You might surprise yourself with how natural it feels to just play.
